Escalator structure

The escalator consists of a ladder (a modified plate conveyor) and two handrails (deformed belt conveyors). Its main components include ladders,

traction chains and sprockets, guideway systems, main drive systems (including electric motors, deceleration devices, brakes, and intermediate

transmission links), drive spindles, ladder tensioners, handrail systems, comb boards, escalator frames, and Electrical system etc. Steps at the

entrance to the passengers for horizontal movement (convenient for passengers to climb the ladder) gradually formed a ladder; close to the entrance

gradually disappeared stairs, the level of horizontal movement again. These movements are achieved by the stepped main wheels and the auxiliary

wheels respectively walking along different step guides.

Escalator rotation principle

1. The escalator is composed of two sets of conveyor belts

One group is a chain conveyor belt --- a series of steps dragged by a step chain; a group is a friction conveyor belt --- a handrail belt composed

of a transfer tape;

2. Both conveyors have the same "drive spindle" drag; the two conveyors' line speeds are consistent;

3, there are two kinds of transmission between the host and the drive spindle: one is through the drive chain drive, called "non-friction movement"

(double-chain or more than two single-chain); the other is through the triangle belt drive, called "Friction drive" (The belt must not be less than

three, and flat belts must not be used).

4. There are two “stepped drive sprockets” and one “handrail driven sprocket” on the “drive spindle”; two “stepped drive sprockets” drive

the left and right “step chain” (also called the drive) Chain or traction chain); one step is installed on the "step chain"; so the lengths of the

left and right two step chains must be the same, otherwise it will cause the step deviation; therefore, the two corresponding left and right chains

should be paired;

5. The handrail on the drive spindle drives the sprocket to drive the handrail with the friction wheel. Through the friction between the friction

wheel and the handrail, the handrail can run synchronously with the steps.
