The right elevator supplier for a Saudi Arabian project is the one that can document equipment suitability and deliver a clear, workable project scope. An unsupported list of the “best” manufacturers cannot establish which company fits a specific building. Compare the manufacturer, contracting supplier and local service arrangements separately.
Define the project before ranking suppliers
Prepare one enquiry brief covering the city, building use, floor schedule, occupancy, travel, available shaft dimensions and programme. A private villa, residential development and busy commercial building need different equipment and support arrangements. Ask the project consultant to identify the approval and documentation requirements.
SASO publishes a technical regulation for elevators used in buildings and installations. Confirm the current applicable requirements, product scope and conformity route with the project’s qualified advisers. The existence of a manufacturer’s certificate does not by itself establish approval of a particular installation.
A practical comparison matrix
| Area | Evidence to request |
|---|---|
| Company identity | Legal entity, factory identity and distributor relationship where applicable. |
| Technical suitability | Offered model, load, speed, travel, doors, controls and project-specific drawings. |
| Relevant experience | Comparable references and the supplier’s documented scope in each. |
| Approvals | Applicable requirements, submission documents and responsible parties. |
| Installation | Named installer, site responsibilities, programme and commissioning scope. |
| Operating support | Maintenance provider, service coverage, spare parts and warranty conditions. |
Mark each requirement as evidenced, awaiting clarification or not offered. Resolve essential gaps before assigning a commercial score. Do not award a supplier credit solely because its brochure includes a feature without confirming that it is included in the quotation.
Distinguish supply from local delivery
A factory may manufacture and export equipment while another company handles import arrangements, installation or maintenance. Ask who takes responsibility for each stage and who the owner should contact if an issue crosses those boundaries. Keep this responsibility schedule with the contract documents.
Verify spare-parts arrangements and service coverage for the actual city. References to global operations or a trade-show presence should not be read as proof of an available local emergency team.
Compare total project scope
Use the same currency, commercial assumptions and equipment schedule when comparing quotations. Separate equipment, freight, import-related costs, construction interfaces, installation, inspections and maintenance. Review exclusions and variation terms before deciding that one offer is cheaper.
Evaluating FUJIHD
FUJIHD is based in China and publishes product and project information for international buyers. Its Taif housing project report is a starting point for discussing relevant experience. Request supporting project details and verify the proposed supply and local service scope for your own building.
Review the FUJI elevator manufacturer guide and FUJI lift solutions, then submit your project brief. Ask for a technical comparison against the same requirements used for other shortlisted suppliers.
Which company is best? The answer should follow the evidence for your building, including the delivered equipment and the people responsible for its operation. This guide does not claim an independent market ranking or a universal winner.
