About the building
New Cairo Hub Transportation is a transport-facility project in Egypt. Its passenger circulation combines vertical travel with movement between connected public areas. Elevators, escalators and moving walks serve different parts of that circulation pattern; their equipment groups and quantities are distinguished in the schedules below.
Equipment specifications
Lift package
| Equipment type | Passenger elevators |
|---|---|
| Quantity | 56 units |
Escalators / moving walks
| Quantity | 28 units: escalators and moving walks combined |
|---|
The 28-unit total covers escalators and moving walks together; no separate quantity is assigned to either category.
Additional equipment specifications
Elevator group 1
| Elevator model | FUJI-FHSP30 |
|---|---|
| Load capacity | 1600 kg |
| Rated speed | 1 m/s |
| Floors / stops | 6 floors / 6 stops |
Escalator / moving walk group 1
| Escalator / moving walk model | FUJI-FHE/FHM |
|---|---|
| Escalator rise | 5.0 m |
| Equipment type | Escalator |
| Rated speed | 0.5 m/s |
The escalator specifications apply to the escalator group. The combined equipment total is not a separate escalator quantity.
Building and equipment details
| Equipment category | Recorded quantity |
|---|---|
| Passenger elevators | 56 units |
| Escalators and moving walks | 28 units combined |
The project record gives a combined quantity for escalators and moving walks; it does not divide those 28 units between the two categories. These figures describe the equipment listed in FUJIHD’s record, not a claim about every lift or escalator throughout the wider development.
FUJIHD Elevator, Escalator and Moving-Walk Features
Transport buildings combine lift access with continuous passenger movement through public circulation areas. The following FUJIHD product features address these operating needs; availability depends on the selected model and equipment specification.
Elevator: infrared light-curtain protection
An infrared light curtain monitors the doorway for an obstruction during closing. When its detection field is interrupted, it signals the door controller to reopen or interrupt closing. This assists passengers entering with luggage, pushchairs or trolleys and complements the door locks and other protective devices.
Escalators and moving walks: landing-entry protection
Comb-plate protection monitors the transition between the moving steps or pallets and the stationary landing. Handrail-inlet protection supervises entry into the handrail housing. Activation initiates a protective stop. For moving walks, the pallet system must be considered separately from an escalator's inclined step system.
