About the building
This project concerns a metro-station application in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Station buildings connect street access with ticketing, circulation and platform areas. They serve passengers moving in groups around train arrivals, making the connection between levels a different operating environment from a residential or hotel building.

FUJIHD Elevator and Escalator Features
Transport buildings combine lift access with continuous passenger movement through public circulation areas. The following FUJIHD product features address these operating needs; availability depends on the selected model and equipment specification.
Elevator: five-way communication
The five-way intercom connects the car with designated maintenance and assistance points, including the car top, pit, machinery space and duty room. It gives passengers and technicians a communication path when help is needed. Effective response also depends on a staffed contact point and routine communication checks.
Escalator: unintended-reversal protection
Direction monitoring detects movement opposite to the commanded travel direction and initiates stopping through the drive and braking system. This is distinct from an operator deliberately selecting a direction. The protective function is especially relevant to continuous passenger movement between station or concourse levels.
