About the building
This shopping-mall project in Australia features an observation-elevator cabin with glazed panels, metal handrails and recessed ceiling lighting. The transparent cabin design connects the passenger experience with the surrounding retail interior, while the floor finish and handrails give the lift a distinct architectural character.

FUJIHD Elevator Components and Functions
An observation lift combines a visible passenger experience with the normal demands of door and travel control. The following FUJIHD product features address these operating needs; availability depends on the selected model and equipment specification.
Elevator: controlled door operation
A permanent-magnet door motor and electronic speed control coordinate the opening and closing cycle. The operating curve can be set for the door arrangement and load, helping the doors start and stop smoothly. Door dwell settings also need to reflect the time passengers require to enter and leave the car.
Elevator: infrared light-curtain protection
An infrared light curtain monitors the doorway for an obstruction during closing. When its detection field is interrupted, it signals the door controller to reopen or interrupt closing. This assists passengers entering with luggage, pushchairs or trolleys and complements the door locks and other protective devices.
