Tongda Hotel Project, Addis Ababa

About the building

Tongda Hotel is a hospitality project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The building brings guest accommodation above its arrival and shared areas. Daily use includes guests travelling with luggage and staff moving between levels, giving the hotel's vertical circulation a different rhythm from that of a residential apartment building.

FUJIHD Elevator Components and Functions

Hotel circulation involves guests, luggage and periods of reduced overnight traffic. The following FUJIHD product features address these operating needs; availability depends on the selected model and equipment specification.

Elevator: infrared light-curtain protection

An infrared light curtain monitors the doorway for an obstruction during closing. When its detection field is interrupted, it signals the door controller to reopen or interrupt closing. This assists passengers entering with luggage, pushchairs or trolleys and complements the door locks and other protective devices.

Elevator: automatic lighting and fan standby

When the lift receives no calls for the configured idle period, the controller can switch off normal car lighting and ventilation, then restore them when service is requested. This reduces unnecessary operation during quiet periods without treating standby control as a substitute for emergency lighting.
